Dr Anne Wilson
Anne Wilson is an epidemiologist with an interest in treatment and control of malaria and other vector borne diseases, in particular through multi-sectoral approaches. Her PhD was on generation and use of evidence to support vector control programming. She was lead author on a WHO Toolkit for Integrated Vector Management in sub-Saharan Africa, a multisectoral, evidence-based and adaptive approach to control of vector borne diseases. She has managed operational research projects looking at malaria treatment and diagnosis in both Ghana and Zanzibar and has an MSc in Public Health in Developing Countries from LSHTM. She also has experience in conducting systematic reviews and meta analysis and their use in influencing policy, for example on Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention. Before starting her MSc she worked for a number of years in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on regulatory affairs in emerging markets and clinical trial design.
