The information that you provide in this form will be processed by Durham University for the following purposes:
- To build critical mass and develop possible research consortia to respond to funding opportunities in the research area of vector-borne diseases and the built environment
- To keep you up to date by email with relevant network activities including a quarterly newsletter, invitations to events and funding opportunities.
We may disclose your information to other members of the BOVA Network Management Board. Members of the BOVA Network Management Board are based in the UK, EU (Denmark, France, Netherlands), Switzerland, Africa (Ghana, Kenya, Uganda) and Australia. Data will be stored on a secure server and protected from unauthorised use. Quarterly newsletters will be sent out using a third-party mailing list manager which is based in the USA. More information on security measures put in place by this provider to protect data are available (https://mailchimp.com/about/security/). We will not share your information with any other third parties or process your information by automated means without asking you for permission first.
We will keep your information as long as the network is live, or you inform us that you no longer wish to be a member of the network by contacting the Network Manager at bova [dot] network [at] durham [dot] ac [dot] uk. If you inform us that you no longer wish to be a member of the network, we will delete your information from our records and will ask UCL to do the same if we have shared your information with them.
You have rights in relation to your information, such as the right to a copy of all information held about you. If you have any concerns about how we handle your information, we ask that you speak to the University’s Data Protection Officer (the University Secretary) first so that we can try to address your concerns internally.
