I am a postdoctoral researcher interested in host parasite interactions. I am interested in combining evolutionary biology and applied ecology to improve vector control. I am working on Anopheles gambiae, which is a key vector of malaria in Africa. I am also interested in how the environment may shape mosquito immunity, insecticide resistance and key life history traits for malaria transmission like body size and longevity. I work on vector control on the Gates foundation funded project Eave tubes with field work in Ivory Coast. We are modifying houses as a vector control tool and adding insecticides in the mix, which is why I am really interested in this network.
