The Natural Resources Institute conducts research, training and consultancy to improve livelihoods worldwide. The chemical ecology group has a long history in developing new technologies to protect against insect pests and disease vectors. I am interested in exploring how the built environment can be manipulated to prevent host finding by mosquitoes and sand flies, in order to reduce biting rate and disease transmission.
