Biography
International centre of insect physiology and ecology (icipe) was founded in 1970 and the headquarter of is in Nairobi, Kenya. is an international research institute mainly dealing with the researches about insects, capacity building and technology transfer. Human diseases insect vectors are among the focus areas of the researches at icipe. I am a PhD student working on the chemical ecology of malaria vector mosquitoes to develop a control strategy which can complement the currently available frontline vector control tools. I am interested to join BOVA due to many reasons. Firstly, BOVA is working on the control strategies of malaria vector mosquitoes which are directly related to my research work. Secondly, if I get a chance to attend the meeting it could open a window of opportunity to meet with different people different experiences. Lastly not the least, it will help me in my future career. I am an employee at Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), Public Health Entomology Team. So I will apply the experiences in my home country.
